Testimonials:

The Lutheran Home for the Aged Association - East is committed to providing the best in elder care. We offer professional and friendly assistance to our residents for whatever they may need. That is why we are proud of our continued success in satisfying one family after the other. Don't just take our word for it - be sure to read through our testimonials, and you'll see for yourself!

It is hard to find adequate words to express our appreciation for all that you did for mom and our family at the time of mom’s passing. Your sincere care and caring for mom, and all of us, was of great help in being able to let go and see her go to her heavenly reward. It goes without saying that we grieve her long suffering and confusion, but we know that she is in good hands.

With your help and care, I believe that mom passed pain free without suffering.

Thanks to everyone for the special care, snacks and meals given to our family. You are all special people. Thank you so very much and God’s blessings to all.

The family of Clara Schlemmer wishes to express our appreciation and deepest gratitude to the Vinton Lutheran Home.

Our mother enjoyed three years of companionship and caring with the staff and residents of the Assisted Living apartments.

During her last month, the respect and care which she received from the nursing home staff was a gift of love. This love and compassion will long be a comfort to her family.

My favorite things to do here at the Vinton Lutheran Home are planning activities, going on trips, eating out at different places, going shopping at the mall, and going to the Amana’s for dinner. During nice weather we take van rides to small towns sight-seeing and go to the pumpkin farm in the fall. I like to go to the movies, play bingo, attend birthday parties, happy hour, and play a Chinese Christmas game. There are manicures once a week as well! There is a lot of fun music of every kind to enjoy. We get to go to church every week. We have good fellowship with all of the residents and staff. Our family Christmas Party has good music and fellowship. The Ice Cream Social has games, music, country store, and pie and ice cream.

All these activities make life worth living. There is never a moment lost without something to do. You don’t have time to be lonely. These are all of my favorite things to do with good people!
