“Staff here go above and beyond to make all of us comfortable. When we move in we bring our own furniture and are allowed to decorate the apartment however we want. This makes the transition easier, as it still feels like home. There is so much togetherness, and we all feel like family. There are many ‘extras’ that are offered to us. From daily activities, shopping trips, and spiritual guidance there is always something to do. Coming from upstate New York, I know most care facilities aren’t what they say they are. I don’t know where else I could go to get the same type of care that I do here. I’m closer to my immediate family and I feel like I have gained more family here at the Lutheran Home.”

The administrators were very professional and made it a priority to make sure mom’s experience would be like living in her own home. During her stay at the facility, her room was bright with a big window, and we were allowed to put up bird feeders outside her window. The nurses, certified nurses’ aides, and certified medication aides were professional and extremely kind and attentive to mom’s needs. They all genuinely cared about mom and treated her like she was their own loved one. We were quite grateful to the entire Lutheran Home staff for making this difficult time in our lives the best that it could be under the circumstances.”
