“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”

Matthew 25:40

Residents, Tenant & Family Testimonials

“The Vinton Lutheran Home Health has truly been a God send, especially during the winter months and cold weather.  My nurse comes once a week to check on me and my home health aide comes 2 times a week.  They help me with my medications, help me shower and even help with housekeeping. I’m very blessed to have them in my life.  They really do a great job!”

-D. Paulsen, Home Health Patient

“I love it here! The layout of my town home is awesome! It’s plenty big for me and there’s room for my kids to come and stay. I also love the location. The grounds are beautiful and quiet. I can’t see living anywhere else. The only way I’d leave is if I had to go to the Lutheran Home Assisted Living or the Nursing Home. I just couldn’t ask for too much more!”

-M. Timmer, Town Home Tenant

“Staff here go above and beyond to make all of us comfortable. When we move in we bring our own furniture and are allowed to decorate the apartment however we want. This makes the transition easier, as it still feels like home. There is so much togetherness, and we all feel like family. There are many ‘extras’ that are offered to us. From daily activities, shopping trips, and spiritual guidance there is always something to do. Coming from upstate New York, I know most care facilities aren’t what they say they are. I don’t know where else I could go to get the same type of care that I do here. I’m closer to my immediate family and I feel like I have gained more family here at the Lutheran Home.”

-J. Salerno, Assisted Living Resident

“The Vinton Lutheran Home is an exemplary nursing home and skilled care facility. The administrators were very professional and made it a priority to make sure mom’s experience would be like living in her own home. During her stay at the facility, her room was bright with a big window, and we were allowed to put up bird feeders outside her window. The nurses, certified nurses’ aides, and certified medication aides were professional and extremely kind and attentive to mom’s needs. They all genuinely cared about mom and treated her like she was their own loved one. We were quite grateful to the entire Lutheran Home staff for making this difficult time in our lives the best that it could be under the circumstances.”

-Daughter of D. Struve, Lutheran Home Resident

“The facility was very well taken care of and the staff did a wonderful job with all of the residents. Everyone was so helpful and willing to do anything for you. I drug my feet about putting my mom in a nursing home, as she had previously lived with me, but this was one of the best decisions I’d ever made. It was a huge weight off my shoulders to know that my mother was so well taken care of. I loved coming to the Lutheran Home and seeing my mother thrive!”

-Daughter of R. Davison, Memory Care Resident
